JANE'S ADDICTION Documentary To Be Released On DVD
September 18, 2003"Three Days", a "warts-and-all" documentary on JANE'S ADDICTION shot during the band's last attempt at a comeback in 1997, is scheduled for release on DVD October 7. The film, which originally premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival in 1999, was written and directed by Kevon Ford and Carter B. Smith.
Aside from the band's members — Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins, and Flea (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) — the film features cameos by several notable personalities, including Val Kilmer, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS members Anthony Kiedis and John Frusciante, Jewel, Marilyn Manson, Dennis Rodman, Alyssa Milano, Jesse Camp, and Eddie Vedder.
"Our documentary coverage of JANE'S ADDICTION focuses on their Relapse Tour as a metaphor for popular culture at the end of the 20th Century," Smith told Launch in 1999. "In reuniting for their first tour in six years, JANE'S ADDICTION was able to arouse an excitement for rock 'n' roll music that had been dormant for nearly 30 years."
